The Group's Environment and Sustainability function supports and develops LKAB's sustainability work through coordination, analysis of sustainability performance, environmental monitoring and strategic risk work. The function manages and develops management systems and processes within sustainability and ensures compliance and good control. As a strategist at the Department for Environment, Energy and Climate, you participate in the work of leading and implementing the group's work in environmental sustainability.

About the role

In this role, you need to have solid experience of environmental issues in the mining industry or equivalent industry, as well as good knowledge of sustainability in general. We are specifically looking for an environmental expert who, together with us, can:

• Proactively identify areas that should be developed in accordance with LKAB's long-term strategies and based on environmental monitoring.
• Participate in international and national industry organizations/networks and represent LKAB in external and internal forums.
• Run and develop projects and processes within the department as well as group-wide in close cooperation with other parts of the business.
• Produce own documents and also coordinate and quality-assure analyzes and reports and identify opportunities for communication.

You report to the head of the department for environment, energy and climate. Station location for the position is Kiruna, Malmberget, Luleå or Stockholm and travel is involved in the position.

You have this with you

As a strategist and expert in the environment, you need to be communicative, analytical and understand the systems perspective. You have the ability to drive change and improvement within the entire environmental area.

We are looking for you who have a college/university degree in the environmental field and have:

• Several years' experience of working with environmental issues and a good understanding of environmental aspects in relation to mines or equivalent industry.
• Very good process and project management skills.
• Is technically knowledgeable in the environmental field and moves freely between a specialist role and a strategic role with the ability to see the big picture and context of the surrounding world.
• Are skilled at expressing yourself verbally and in writing and good at explaining complex issues in an educational way, and understanding your target group.
