Your role and responsibilities

We need more people who are passionate about technology and solution-oriented, who love solving our customers' technical problems, and who are constantly learning and developing together with colleagues and customers! Therefore, we are now looking for you who are passionate about automation, where you, together with project managers and other engineering colleagues, work with automation projects for our customers in the Swedish process industry, mainly the pharmaceutical industry.

The projects are of high technical complexity where ABB's market-leading DCS platform System 800xA is used to control processes with customized solutions. We apply concepts based on the system's batch functionality, from the design phase to commissioning and follow-up on site at our customers.

We are in several locations working together and are now looking for a number of automation engineers based in Malmö. We are looking for everything from new graduates to experienced automation engineers who can take leading roles in large projects.

  • You participate in delivery projects together with the project team and are involved in all phases of the project from sales support and idea to commissioning and aftermarket support.
  • Your tasks include, for example, the development of functional specifications, system setup, system integration, programming and verification/validation in the form of testing at our customers in Life Science.
  • You ensure that the technical solution is developed in accordance with specifications, standards and safety requirements with the right quality and according to schedule. If you have less experience, you will be given time to grow into the responsibility.
  • You work closely with engineers and project managers and can act independently in smaller projects.
  • You have close contact with our customers and participate in project and technical meetings and on site visits.
  • You represent ABB and are an important key player at our customers.


Qualifications for the role

- We are looking for both those who have many years of experience in Life Science and process automation and those who are newly graduated with the ambition to grow in the field.

- We are looking for you who have an engineering education, are a university engineer or civil engineer.

- As a person, you are curious, goal-oriented and communicative, put the customer in focus and build relationships.

- You have programming experience and are interested in automation and control of industrial processes.

- It is meritorious if you have experience with System 800xA and batch functionality or DCS platforms of another brand.

- You speak and write in Swedish and English without difficulty.

- You should have a B driving license.
