We are looking for automation engineers who want to apply their technical knowledge to industrial processes and have a strong interest in control system programming. To meet the demand from our customers, Process Industries is recruiting automation engineers in northern Sweden. With our digital solutions, we help to create the factories of the future in the mining and steel industries, among others.

This position reports to the Service Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

  • You will deliver automation solutions to our customers based on ABB's industrial control system 800xA.
  • You will be involved in all parts of the assignments from design to commissioning, follow-up and aftermarket.
  • You will be responsible for your work planning and the assignment's budget and have a risk-conscious approach.
  • You share ABB's core values of safety and integrity and take responsibility for your own actions, your colleagues and the business

Qualifications for the role

  • You are a curious person with a drive to learn new things and an unpretentious team player who enjoys working with us and our customers. You have the desire to develop in a role where you will program applications in ABB's control system 800xA.
  • We would like to see that you have experience in automation and industrial control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLC) and of associated testing and commissioning, but it is not a requirement.
  • Competence in System 800xA, Advant Controller, AC800M Controller, Safety (SIL), electrical, instrumentation and field design is an advantage.
  • You have a university or civil engineering degree with relevant specialization or vocational college (YH) with a focus on electricity, automation, data or equivalent.
  • As you will be working in a global company, you have a good command of both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • It is a prerequisite for the service that you have a B-driving license as the work periodically involves travel within the region.
