We are looking for automation engineers who want to apply their technical knowledge in industrial processes and have a great interest in control system programming. You will be an important part of Energy Industries, a division within Process Automation that delivers solutions and services in digitization, electrification and automation for the industry segments energy, water, chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals Sweden. To meet the demand from our customers, Energy Industries is recruiting automation engineers in northern Sweden. We work with great focus on developing and future-proofing Swedish energy supply, and our offer includes everything from customized automation solutions to services for advanced analysis and service. We have offices all over the country but the location for this role is in Luleå. 

Your responsibility

  • You will deliver automation solutions to our customers that are based on ABB's industrial control system 800xA.
  • In the role, you deliver everything from small automation solutions to service agreements and customer projects.
  • You will be involved in all parts of the assignment, from construction to commissioning, follow-up and aftermarket.
  • Your work involves responsibility for your own work planning and the assignment's budget, as well as having a risk-aware way of working.
  • You share ABB's fundamental values ​​regarding safety and integrity and take responsibility for your own actions, your colleagues and business operations.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are a curious person with the drive to learn new things and an unpretentious team player who enjoys working together with us and our customers. You have the desire to develop in a role where you will program applications in ABB's industrial control system 800xA.
  • We would like you to have experience in automation and industrial control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLC) and associated tests and commissioning (IAT/FAT/SAT), but it is not a requirement.
  • Competence in System 800xA, Advant Controller, AC800M Controller, Safety (SIL), electricity, instrumentation and field design is an advantage.
  • You have a university or civil engineering degree with a relevant specialization, alternatively Turkish university (YH) with a specialization in electricity, automation, data or equivalent.
  • As you will work in a global company, you need to be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • It is a prerequisite for the position that you have a B driver's license as the work periodically involves traveling within the region.
