Your role and responsibilities

You will be part of Distribution Solutions (ELDS), a business unit within ABB's Electrification business area that develops, sells and services low and medium voltage switchgear and control gear as well as providing package solutions for low and medium voltage equipment for the Swedish market. The equipment is manufactured and delivered from the unit in Västerås or other ABB operations in Europe depending on product type and scope. The unit's customers are mainly in the pulp and paper, mining, power generation and transmission, chemical, infrastructure and construction industries.

-You will be the technical lead in delivery projects of electric power plants that may include, for example, low and medium voltage switchgear.

-You will be able to develop your technical knowledge in challenging technical projects, where you will have a broad responsibility.

-You will be the cohesive link for the technology in our projects regarding electric power construction.

-You are also responsible for the delivery of design documentation such as the development of circuit diagrams. You are also responsible for the delivery of design documents such as circuit diagrams, cabinet layouts, connection tables and ensure that our technical solutions meet customer needs and applicable standards.

-You will mostly work in project teams where you have an important role in working with the project to deliver on time and with the right quality.

-You collaborate internally within ELDS as well as with external suppliers, customers and contribute to our continued positive development.

-You share ABB's core values around safety and integrity, which means that you take responsibility for your own actions while feeling responsible for your colleagues and the af-ferry business.

Qualifications for the role

• You have a university degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent level of knowledge.
• You have more than 5 years of experience in electrical power as a designer for systems involving low and medium voltage, relay protection and communication with overhead systems.
• It is meritorious if you have worked with electric power distribution projects and understand these customer requirements.
• Advantage if you have worked with the CAD tool elMaster (Master Concept) and have knowledge of high-voltage electric power plants.
• You are a structured person who likes to design and analyze and understand the problems of electric power plants.
• You are always keen to create the best possible solutions and conditions for all parties.
• You enjoy working in teams and are always keen to achieve set goals with good quality.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
