We are now looking for a Material Planner to join our team at ABB Smart Power. If you have an interest in logistics and material management and want to contribute to ensuring high delivery precision and efficiency, then this could be the role for you.

As a Material Planner at ABB Electrification, you will play a key role in ensuring material availability and optimizing our purchasing and delivery processes. You will work closely with our suppliers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and that we maintain high service levels. The role also involves proactively identifying and managing potential material shortages and participating in improvement projects to optimize our processes.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring high delivery performance by planning and prioritizing our purchases.
  • Drive and monitor deliveries from suppliers to ensure material availability and manage short and long-term shortages.
  • Lead efforts to optimize inventory while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Calculate and maintain replenishment parameters to ensure material availability.
  • Resolve and act on issues as they arise to minimize disruptions.
  • Participate in various improvement projects to streamline our processes.
  • Collaborate and maintain good relationships with our suppliers.

Qualifications for the role

  • A university/civil engineering degree in engineering, economics, logistics or equivalent work experience in relevant field.
  • Experience in material planning is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
