Your role and responsibilities

Are you interested in leading supply chain strategies, optimizing processes, and driving operational excellence? At ABB Force Measurement, we are looking for a hands-on Procurement, Planning & Fulfillment Manager to shape the future of our purchasing, master planning, production planning and inventory optimization. In this role, you will lead a team of nine specialists, ensuring seamless operations while improving processes for greater efficiency and sustainability. You will play a key role in supplier evaluations, negotiations, cost optimization and production planning, all while ensuring high delivery performance and customer satisfaction.

As part of our Operations leadership team, you will oversee cross-functional improvement projects, implement end-to-end planning processes, and leverage data-driven decision-making to enhance production flow and inventory management. Your work will have a direct impact on our global competitiveness, making this an exciting opportunity for someone eager to lead change, foster collaboration, and shape a high-performing team. We are looking for a structured and motivated leader with experience in purchasing, planning, and inventory management. A background in engineering or equivalent work experience is ideal, along with knowledge of SAP and data analytics tools. Your strong communication skills in Swedish and English, coupled with an adaptable leadership approach, will enable you to build trusted relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Ensuring relevant parties understand strategies and carry out processes accordingly and ensuring alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
• Implementing programs to ensure improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
• Securing full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
• Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimize cost, quality and delivery reliability. Understanding production flows, capacity planning, material management, and resource optimization.
• Use data and analytics to predict demand, manage inventory and improve processes,production flow and reduce downtime.
• Negotiations to secure favorable agreements with suppliers.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent work experience
• You have worked with purchasing, planning and inventory optimizing, and of course it is a plus if you have SAP knowledge
• You are a skilled communicator who can express yourself freely in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• You change your leadership style to suit the situation, reflecting professionalism in communications inside the company and externally with suppliers
• Experience from previous management position, which have given you good leadership experience
• You need to be a structured and purposeful person who is used to make decisions and move the work forward
• You value the insights of your team, enabling you to make informed choices that advance the work. It is important that you are interested in creating a well-functioning team and thrive when the tempo is high.
