Your role and responsibilities

As a Production Engineer IS/IT at ABB Force Measurement, you will be part of our business that delivers high-quality measurement and control equipment for metal and paper manufacturing.

The role is an important function in our business that develops our production where we aim for a higher degree of automation and digitization. You are a key player in our improvement work where you carry out feasibility studies, investments in project form and also larger implementation projects.

As a production technician IS/IT with us at Force Measurement, you will be part of a team of 12 employees who represent production technology, production development and operational maintenance with the common mission of developing our production and ensuring the operation of existing machinery. We have customers all over the world.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of various IT solutions in our production.
• Lead digitization projects and help the departments with problem solving and improvements with regard to production-related IT systems.
• Drive production development projects. Examples are pure automation projects, flow improvements, HSE-driven initiatives and product introductions in our production environment.
• You will deal with both strategic and operational issues as well as train and support employees in connection with changes.
• Conduct investigations and surveys to present future needs that are part of our strategic work and future IT solutions.
• You share ABB's core values around security and integrity, which means that you take responsibility for your own actions while feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business.

Qualifications for the role

• A degree in civil engineering or a bachelor's degree or equivalent higher vocational education.
• Experience in production, project management or process-oriented work is a requirement.
• Knowledge and experience from working in MPS/MES systems as well as knowledge and understanding of Lean is meritorious.
• You have good general IT knowledge and experience of various production-related software (such as Windows server, AD integration, SQL Server, Virtualization, LabVIEW environments).
• It is meritorious if you are knowledgeable in programming languages.
• You are clear in your communication and you are motivated by training and supporting your employees in different situations.
• You need to be able to communicate in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
