Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Planner to strengthen our team. As a Production Planner with us at ABB Large Motors and Generators you will have a central position. Together with your colleagues, you will be key to ensuring efficient production through careful planning and coordination. Your work will be crucial for us to deliver on time to our customers and maintain high delivery reliability. You will report to the Planning Manager and help drive our production operations forward.

This role is to coordinate and plan the testing of all machines produced. You plan the various tests in accordance with what the standards require and what the customer has ordered and according to how production delivers and coordinate with project managers if witnessed tests need to be carried out for best performance. This means continuous cooperation and development work together with production to ensure the customer's wishes. This means, among other things:

  • Create and manage detailed production strategies to optimize the use of resources and ensure that production requirements and set delivery dates are met.
  • Fix the sequence and lead time to meet the need and delivery times throughout the production process, in accordance with our overall plan.
  • Monitor outcomes against plan and identify the root causes of any deviations and implement appropriate improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with production management to effectively communicate any production capacity challenges and provide detailed information on material availability.

Qualifications for the role

  • We would like you to have either a vocational college education or a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, or more than five years of work experience in similar fields.
  • It is meritorious if you have experience in production planning.
  • We value a strong ability to identify and solve problems in a professional manner (such as production data, forecasting, bottlenecks, capacity planning, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
  • It is valuable if you can adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with calm and skill, even under pressure.
  • You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • Good knowledge of Excel is a requirement, while good knowledge of SAP is meritorious.

From general to customized designs, synchronous motors and high voltage induction motors that contribute to high efficiency, reliability and availability for all major industries and applications, including some of the most difficult and demanding environments. The division also has a long history of designing and manufacturing generators for many different industries such as power generation, marine, oil and gas, mining and data centers.
