Your role and responsibilities

Do you want to work in the manufacturing of world-class electric motors and generators? We at Large Motors & Generators ABB are now looking for a number of employees for our operations at Finnslätten in Västerås. With us, you will be part of a successful team that together delivers products of the highest quality to customers all over the world.

Within our production there are a large number and highly varied tasks, which gives you a unique opportunity to develop in many different areas. In our production, professional skills, good dexterity and an ability to work independently are required. Some tasks are repetitive and others are more varied. We are not a high-volume manufacturer and our products are usually customer-specific and therefore highly dependent on your individual contribution. With well-filled order books, we also consider ourselves a safe and stable employer.

In addition to being a good coworker, we look favorably if you have a broad workshop experience and are used to working in teams with rotating tasks. If you also have more specific knowledge and interest in areas such as welding, soldering, machining or testing (electricity), we can offer other challenges right from the start.

The form of employment is fixed-term. The business is conducted in shifts, which means that you need to have flexibility in terms of irregular working hours. We have collective agreements and offer competitive conditions for the industry. A fair working environment is important to us.

Qualifications for the role

• Some form of technical background, upper secondary level or equivalent.
• Experience of teamwork in industry.
• Good knowledge of Swedish is a requirement.
• Truck and traver card.
• Drawing reading.
• Some computer skills.

The Large Motors and Generators division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators. The division's induction, synchronous and special motors and synchronous generators power critical applications in industry, infrastructure and marine transportation. Combining the best available materials with superior technology, the large motors and generators are designed to operate efficiently and reliably, even for challenging processes or applications, and to have low life cycle costs.
