Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Controller to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting journey as ABB invests in a new state-of-the-art Robotics Campus in Västerås, Sweden. This large investment represents a prestigious project, offering the chance to contribute to a transformative initiative within the industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the project, acting as a business partner to the project team and managing project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Project Controller, you will develop and manage the project budget and forecast, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and recommending corrective actions as needed.
• You will support business case evaluations to optimize budget allocation and ROI.
• In this role, you are acting as a business partner to the project team, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• You will identify and assess risks associated with the project, proposing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Additionally, you will provide financial analysis to support risk-based decision making. Facilitating communication between stakeholders and preparing regular financial and project performance reports for management and stakeholders will be part of your role.
• You will also secure accurate records of project expenditures and ensure all financial activities comply with corporate and regulatory standards.

Qualifications for the role

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business controller, project controller, or in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost control principles and forecasting, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset to support managers in risk-based decision making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and maintain accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and other finance tools, methodologies and systems.
• Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Swedish is considered a benefit.
