Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a dedicated Purchasing Manager for our factory for Traction and Mobile e-Power motors in Västerås. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team and play a key role in developing strategies that drive efficiency and innovation forward. As a Purchasing Manager you will be part of the management team of the local product group, with a clear focus on the operational supply chain and planning. You will work across the entire value chain, from managing inbound and outbound material flows to developing supplier relationships.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a dedicated supply chain team consisting of category managers, operational buyers and preparation.
- Be responsible for the supplier base focusing on selection, performance and development, while driving cost savings for materials.
- Be a key contact for the procurement support team in Estonia and actively work on improving logistics solutions for incoming materials.
- Collaborate with the global supply chain team to optimize the supplier base within PG Traction Motors across three different sites.
- Work closely with the quality department to address supplier quality issues and implement best practices in the supply projects.
- Represent the local unit in global supply chain forums, where you contribute to strengthen collaboration and share key insights.

Qualifications for the role
- 3-5 years of experience in roles in sourcing, logistics and/or master and production planning.
- Proven leadership skills and a solution-oriented approach, with at least two years of experience as a manager.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of SAP is meritorious.
- Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing.
- The ability to motivate and inspire. Previous leadership experience is highly valued, but your personality is crucial to succeed in the role.
