This position reports to the Service Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

At ABB, we are a market leader in the mining winch industry, an industry that is growing as the green transition requires safe, sustainable and increasingly deeper mines. As a long-time supplier of mining winches, we have a large installed base of mining winches both locally in Sweden and globally, and we work with customers all over the world.

We are now looking for a new leader who will have full operational responsibility for our service business in Sweden. You will be part of the local management team for Business Line Hoisting in Sweden and work together with the global service team for Business Line Hoisting. You will lead our local service team and be responsible for implementing the global service strategy locally together with the Service Manager. The main focus and goal will be profitable growth of our service business supported by the own team and the local hoisting organization. You will have great opportunities to develop both yourself, your business acumen and your personal leadership, together with our service business.

In this role you will report to the Service Manager within Business Line Hoisting Sweden and you will be located in either Skellefteå, Luleå, Gällivare or Kiruna.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational part of Hoisting's service business in Sweden and globally, against given targets.
  • Lead and develop a growing team of 13 employees.
  • Work closely with the sales organization to build and develop customer relationships and a growing service business.
  • Implement and drive changes at local level, in line with the global service strategy.

Qualifications for the role

  • Background in electrical/machine engineering or other relevant education together with a genuine interest in service business is meritorious.
  • Experience as a line manager and working in the mining industry is meritorious.
  • As a leader, you are driven, innovative, persistent and proactive, as well as a true team player who thrives in a multicultural environment. With your collaborative and communication skills, you have the ability to inspire your team to perform well in order to achieve set goals.
  • Readiness to learn, willingness to grow with the role and a desire to develop new and existing services, tools and processes.
  • You are fluent in English and Swedish, both in writing and speech.
