Your role and responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer in ABB's Mining Automation team in Umeå, you will work with our advanced control system, System 800xA. You will be an important part of our team that delivers innovative solutions in digitalization, electrification and automation to customers in the mining and mineral industry in Sweden.

• Contribute to our team that delivers solutions and services in digitalization, electrification and automation.
• Provide strategic advice to our customers.
• Provide technical support and implement service agreements and customer projects.
• Participate in all parts of assignments, from design to commissioning, follow-up and after-sales.
• Work from our office in Umeå, with the possibility of travel within the region.

Qualifications for the role

• Some years of work experience in IT, automation, or a combination of both.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, networks and switches.
• Additional knowledge includes:
• Experience with 800xA.
• Experience from process industry and control systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, domains and GPOs.
• Cyber security and firewalls.
• Experience with virtualization solutions (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware, VDI, Azure).
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, Bash.
