Your role and responsibilities

Do you want to work in the manufacturing and testing of world-class, high-efficiency motors and generators? We at Large Motors & Generators are now looking for welders, testers and machine operators for our production in Västerås! With us, you will be part of a competent team that together delivers products of the highest quality to customers all over the world.

Depending on the role you are looking for, you will work in one of the following areas with associated responsibilities:

Welder:

  • Process raw materials into finished products through various processing moments.
  • Work with everything from punching and soldering to manual and machine processing. Mainly TIG welding and/or MIG/MAG welding.
  • Participate in improvement work to optimize the production process.

Tester:

  • Conduct final testing of engines and generators before delivery.
  • Perform connection, measurement and monitoring of products during testing.
  • Working with customers witnessing tests and ensuring products meet high standards.

Machine Operator (Soldering):

  • Assembling engines and generators from individual components to finished products.
  • Reading drawings, checking measurements and connecting electrical equipment.
  • Working with customers who visit us to follow their product through the manufacturing process.

The positions involve working in 2 shifts, and during periods of high utilization, night shifts may be required.

Qualifications for the role

  • Technical education at upper secondary or post-secondary level (meritorious, not required).
  • Experience working in industry, assembly, production or testing.
  • Ability to read drawings and handle measuring equipment.
  • Truck and traver card and experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (meritorious).
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Specific requirements for certain roles:
  • Welder Type 1: Experience of TIG welding, desirable with certificate 141 and experience of stainless steel pipe.
  • Welder Type 2: Experience of MIG/MAG welding, desirable with certificates 136 and 138.
  • Prover: Competence in electrical power engineering, control engineering, PLC programming and high-voltage work. Knowledge of English in both speech and writing.
  • Machine operator soldering: Experience of handheld machines and soldering skills.
