Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and committed Welding Manager to ensure we maintain high standards within our welding processes. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our welding processes comply with the ISO3834 quality system and that we effectively manage supplier audits, deviations and other quality assurance measures.

You will coordinate and support welding-related activities within the unit, which includes new product development, order-bound design, production equipment management, welding in production and control of subcontractors. You will belong to the quality department and be part of a team with specialists in different areas.

Duties

• Ensure that our welding processes meet all requirements according to ISO 3834 and other relevant standards.
• Contribute to projects as a specialist in welding processes to support development and improvement work.
• Review and develop manufacturing documentation such as drawings, specifications, WPQR/WPS and documentation sent to the customer.
• Participate and take responsibility for welding issues at customer meetings and project-related meetings.
• Implement and follow up on improvement measures in welding to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
• Take responsibility for quality control and documentation of our welding work.
• Plan and hold internal trainings for welders and other operations regarding the welding area, certifications, NDT.
• Work closely with the production team to improve production flows and strengthen quality assurance.
• Coordinate the welding team which is a cross-functional group working on improvements.

Qualifications for the role

• Deficient experience in welding and working in a dynamic production environment.
• Relevant training and certifications in welding, such as IWS, IWE or IWT. Meritorious with IWI.
• Experience in quality control and documentation in welding processes, well versed in the ISO 3834 quality system.
• Willing to perform supplier audits and to handle deviations with accuracy and quality mindset.
• Good ability to work independently as well as in close cooperation with other departments.
• Experience of training and supervising colleagues in welding is meritorious.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
