We at the Advanced Automation section in Västerås work with really exciting projects where we contribute with expertise and knowledge for technology-intensive automation services to our customers. Locally, we work with the market's largest customers in exciting projects that are partly run in-house in our own project operations, and partly out at our customers. Our customers and assignments are in several sectors of industry. In the section, we are currently 16 colleagues working with automation, electrical design, programming and inspection. In our team there are people with different backgrounds and competencies that differ and complement each other. We now want to continue to grow with more colleagues as we see a great need for our expertise in the market and with our customers in the future.
About the role
In the role of Automation Engineer, you will work with automation in all its phases, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad portfolio of projects, including nuclear power, water treatment and production industry. Your role may involve the development of control systems in large and small projects, such as upgrades in existing systems but also new construction of completely new systems. You will also work with programming, commissioning, system and functional descriptions and/or project management in automation depending on your interest and experience. You will most likely work with some of AFRY's largest customers either under AFRY's auspices or directly in customers' operations. The assignments and projects are mainly local, and often with clients that are recurring. In some projects you follow the client's standard and in some projects you set the standard; your expertise is therefore crucial to the success of our clients and AFRY.
Requirement specification

To succeed well and thrive in the role, we believe that you have:
- You have a technical education at high school or college level, or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way.
- Have several years of experience in automation in industry and are self-driven.
- Good knowledge of programming PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, for example Siemens, ABB or Schneider.
- Possess a B driving license as there may be travel in the service.
- Can communicate very well in both Swedish and English.
