About the role
In Automation at AFRY, we work on projects where we take full responsibility for technology-intensive automation services. Our work ranges from developing and implementing production lines with advanced robot systems, to offering service and support. We collaborate with the market's largest players and run exciting projects in-house in our own project business. With us, you get the opportunity to lead, drive and be responsible for the entire delivery from start to finish.
As an Automation Engineer with us, you contribute to shaping the technology solutions of the future. We work with turnkey projects, which means that you will be involved from the design stage, through commissioning and on to maintenance.
In the role of PLC programmer, you will develop and program control systems and be responsible for commissioning and start-up of the production facilities we build. You will also work continuously to improve customers' existing systems. You will work closely with other experts in automation, electrical engineering, project management, mechanical engineering and Real Digital Twin (RDT). Together, we support clients in different industries across Sweden and work with technical solutions that shape the society of the future.
We value collaboration and knowledge sharing, and therefore it is an important part of your role to both share your own knowledge and learn from the experiences of your colleagues in the electrical and automation field and within AFRY as a whole. As we work in close collaboration between different sections, travel is included in the service.
Requirement specification
To succeed in this role, we believe that you are motivated by working to create the solutions of the future and are solution-oriented and forward-thinking in what you take on. We also value your collaboration, communication and initiative skills. To succeed well and thrive in the role, we see that you have:
- Appropriate technical education or equivalent relevant experience.
- Several years of experience in industrial automation, for example with PLC or Robot programming or electrical design, from the manufacturing or transport industry.
- If you have knowledge and skills in project management, electrical design, Real Digital Twin and/or simulation, this is also relevant but not a requirement.
- B driving license.
- Ability to communicate well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
