Job description

The service and support business at AFRY in Malmö is growing and we are looking for an automation engineer with an interest in service and support of control systems. It is a fun and varied role with many customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues. You will be part of a committed team with a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, both locally and with colleagues in other regions and technology areas.

We have an established customer base with several large companies and authorities in industry. This means that you will get insight into exciting projects that impact society. The position offers good development opportunities, and you will receive regular training in our customers' systems.

In this role, you will be part of our support group, which handles 24/7 support every day of the year. Each colleague has around 10 support weeks per year. Your main tasks will include troubleshooting PLC control systems, following up on support cases and being responsible for customer contact and suggesting improvement solutions. You are also responsible for planning and carrying out system maintenance and annual system reviews. Documentation is done in the JIRA case system, and the work also includes additional tasks such as PLC programming, testing, documentation and commissioning.

Qualifications

In addition to these personal competencies, we are looking for you who have:

  • A few years of programming experience in ABB PLC control systems in industry.
  • Knowledge of ABB control systems, mainly ABB 800xA.
  • Experience in system maintenance such as patching ABB 800xA servers.
  • Driving license (B) as travel is part of the work.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

It is meritorious with training in ABB System Assessment/System Health Check and knowledge and experience of programming in Siemens and Mitsubishi control systems.

Further information

It is possible to work from home if you need to sometimes, but we collaborate a lot with colleagues and are usually in the office. The team consists of three colleagues who work closely together, while we are part of a larger market area where we collaborate with two sections. In total, we are about 38 nice colleagues in Malmö.
