At AFRY Advanced Automation, we are now looking for an automation engineer with competence in ABB 800xA for our section in Varber/Gothenburg! In the section, we are about thirty employees with a common interest in technology, automation, electrical design and sustainability. We can proudly say that we are one of the largest suppliers of automation expertise and we have many, large projects underway together with our customers in the industry. About the role

As an automation engineer at AFRY, you will develop solutions for our customers in virtually all industrial sectors, with a particularly strong position in the energy, automotive, mining, process and forestry industries.

You will work with everything from designing and programming automation systems for process applications to conducting tests, installing and commissioning plants at our customers. You also work with managing customer relations, helping our customers develop their applications and HMI standards.

You also work with migrations of AC450 to AC800M with AFRY Quality Tool as a tool and model. The work will be done partly at local customers but also at our offices in in-house projects. Requirement specification

We are looking for automation engineers with experience of working with complex solutions. We would like to see that you enjoy building contacts both externally and internally and that you are stimulated by sharing knowledge between colleagues. It is important that you enjoy your work and have fun at work, so we attach great importance to your personal qualities. To thrive with us, we believe that you are flexible and have the ability to work on several projects at the same time.

In terms of experience, you fit the following description:

  • Experienced engineer, technician or equivalent with many years of experience in automation, control systems and preferably also in machine safety and system upgrades.
  • Experience with ABB 800xA systems is a requirement. You also have experience working with system design, electrical infrastructure, I/O and networks.
  • Have a driving license B as travel in periods is a natural part of your role.
  • Master both Swedish and English well in both speech and writing.

Additional knowledge:

  • Experience with older ABB products AC450 and MP200.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper industry and/or metal and mining.
  • Experience with 800xA RMC library or P&P library.
  • Certification in system safety, machine safety, SIL or cyber security.
  • Experience with networks and infrastructure, as well as systems and protocols such as IEC61850, Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus & Profinet.
  • Experience with ABB software AC400 Advant Master Engineering.
