Company Description

AFRY is a leading European company with global reach in engineering, design and consulting. We accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society.

We are 19,000 dedicated experts in infrastructure, industry, energy and digitalization, creating sustainable solutions for future generations.

About the role

AFRY Advanced Automation in Örebro is now looking for an Electronics Designer for an innovative technology company with location in either Karlskoga or Örebro. The company is a major player in the defense sector and is known for developing advanced defense systems and technologies. At AFRY you will be part of a team of 13 people, where we work both in the customer's operations as well as with internal projects - in this assignment you will be directly recruited to a specific customer.

This position is located within the company's Development Department within the Electrical and Electronics Design section. You will be part of a dynamic team consisting of specialists in electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic engineering. The tasks mean that you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of the next generation electronics platform for the company's defense systems.

In the role of electronics designer, you will participate in project groups and contribute to the creation of innovative subsystems for the company's various product groups. Your work will cover electronics design from concept phase to new product development and finalization. You will participate in the integration of the design solutions with other system parts and collaborate with the electrical mechanical and electrical systems engineers of the section.

Requirements

We are looking for you with a technical education in electronics/electrical engineering, either from college or university. Alternatively, you are welcome to apply if you have equivalent skills through experience. Important competencies include:

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with CAD tools is meritorious.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software development for embedded systems and control technology is desirable.

Personal qualities that we value highly are innovative thinking and responsibility, as you will work in a creative environment. This also requires a good sense of initiative and places great emphasis on your ability to communicate and collaborate effectively. As planning and documenting is part of everyday life, we see that it is something you have previous experience of. However, we believe that your potential, personality and attitude to achieve these skills is more important than that you already have them today.

Further information

As an employee, you will be offered the opportunity to be part of a global group both at AFRY and at the client, which can open doors to international experiences. We invest in your personal development and offer ongoing training. In the client's operations, you will find generous flex hours and organize nice activities for the well-being of the staff, including a newly built gym. We strive for a good work-life balance. While we at AFRY are keen for you to thrive in the consulting role, various well-being and competence-promoting activities are also organized.

The last day to apply for the position is November 30, 2024. The position may be security classified and subject to defense secrecy. Swedish citizenship and an approved security clearance may be a requirement for employment.
