Job description

We are looking for a C++ developer within embedded systems to be part of one of our customers' projects in the defense industry. The project works within the aerospace department. Here you will:

  • Work extensively with programming in C++ in Linux environment.
  • Migrate large parts of source code to more modern standards.
  • Port software on hardware sitting on VxWorks platform.
  • Maintain, update and further develop older software functionality.
  • There will also be a lot of new development to adapt the software to the hardware/platform.
  • Interact with customer, run test cases, evaluations and discuss ideas forward together (travel may occur).

About the team:

  • A social and nice team of about 10 people, where all ages and experience levels are represented.
  • ScM-inspired way of working with a team lead and a Jira-board - but without sprints.
  • A work environment where you are encouraged to take your own initiatives and not be afraid to seek help.
  • Great opportunity to interact with other teams and gather information where it exists 

Qualifications

We believe that you:

  • A C++ developer who thrives in a Linux environment.
  • Have a couple of years of work experience as a developer
  • Enjoy analyzing and understanding existing code, even when the documentation is missing and it is written in an older version of C++.
  • Social and comfortable communicating with other teams and experts
  • Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English.

Additional knowledge

It is a big plus if you also have experience of:

  • CMake
  • Jenkins (mainly to use, but also to configure flows)
  • ADA95
  • Experience from military/defense industry

This position is security classified, which means that a security clearance is carried out in accordance with Swedish legislation on security protection. To fulfill the requirements of the security clearance, you as a candidate need, among other things, to hold a citizenship that meets these requirements. If you hold dual citizenship, it is required that these citizenships are within a nation belonging to the EU or NATO for an approved security clearance.
