Company Description

AFRY is a leading European company with global reach in engineering, design and consulting. We help our clients accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society. We are over 19,000 dedicated experts in infrastructure, industry, energy and digitalization, working to create sustainable solutions for future generations.

About the role

Are you passionate about technology and innovation, and want to work with the latest technologies in hardware development? Then this role could be just right for you! We are now looking for an Embedded Electronics Engineer who will play an important role in our growing Products & Software Engineering team. Here you will have the opportunity to work with advanced electronics at the cutting edge of technology, where you will work with our team to design and develop the systems of the future.

In this role you will work in a varied work environment with access to our own lab and in collaboration with our customers in a wide range of industries such as defense, medical technology, telecom and automotive. You will be involved in the entire development process - from concept development and prototyping to finished product. The role involves both in-house work at our product development department in Gothenburg and at our clients, which gives you the opportunity to both broaden and deepen your skills.

We are a team that highly values collaboration and community. Here at AFRY, we want our employees to thrive, feel safe and have fun at work. We believe in creating a work environment where there are great opportunities for development, both professionally and personally, and where you can be involved and influence.

Requirements

You have a genuine interest in electronics and technology and a natural curiosity to solve technical challenges. We are looking for you who are confident in your role as a hardware developer and have experience in the field. You appreciate both the practical work in the lab and the technical challenge of developing innovative solutions for our customers. You thrive in an environment where you can work both independently and in teams, and see the value of sharing your knowledge and learnings with your colleagues.

To thrive in this role, we would like you to have:

  • Several years of experience in hardware development and electronics design.
  • Experience in areas such as PCBA development, ASIC/FPGA, DC/DC, Embedded SW, testing and/or EMC measurement techniques.
  • An interest in working in electronics labs for development and testing.
  • Experience working in teams and a willingness to develop together with colleagues and customers.
  • Experience with tools such as Altium, Cadence and/or OrCAD is an advantage.

For this position, it is a requirement that you master both Swedish and English in speech and writing, as our assignments often include contact with Swedish customers. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means that you need to hold a citizenship from a nation affiliated with NATO.

We attach great importance to your personal qualities and believe that you are a person who appreciates challenges, has a strong commitment and is unpretentious in your way of working with others. You are motivated by working in an environment where we all take responsibility for creating a positive work culture and where community and cooperation are in focus.
