Job description

Our high-tech customer in Trollhättan is currently in an exciting and highly expansive phase and needs the support of an engineer specializing in engine testing. A large part of the activities are focused on the JAS 39 Gripen engines RM12 and RM16, but also stationary gas turbines and working with next generation engine concepts are part of the department's activities.

As an Engine Test Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the engineering engine fleet. These engines are used as a resource for generating usage experience, problem identification, verification and qualification for engine system development

It is an important role that requires good collaboration with several different departments such as maintenance workshop, instrumentation and engine testing. Part of the job also involves participating in demonstrators, other product development activities and concepts for future engines.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and enjoys being part of a team. Talking to internal and external parties is something you are comfortable with, such as customers and suppliers. To succeed, you need to be results-oriented, used to managing deadlines and as a person you contribute with a positive attitude. 

We look for you to have: 
- an engineering degree such as BSc or equivalent qualification gained through experience
- practical experience in maintenance
- previous experience from testing/engine testing
- a desire to be part of the Swedish defense industry
- good knowledge of English and Swedish in both speech and writing
- a good sense of order and orderliness, as well as being driven, careful and positive

Additional:
- Previous experience of working in aviation and / or with entire engine systems, preferably in defense.
