In the Environment & Sustainability business area, AFRY offers qualified consulting services in the environmental field. In Norrbotten, AFRY currently has two sections in the environment, where both sections consist of a mix of junior and senior consultants. Together we have a mixed competence in areas such as contaminated areas, waste, material inventories, notification and permit cases, environmental impact assessments, environmental investigations, environmental controls, etc. We also offer our environmental expertise to other business areas within AFRY.
With us, you are involved in developing innovative and sustainable solutions in infrastructure, energy and industry. Within AFRY, there is the opportunity to participate and drive technical issues nationally, where contaminated areas have their own technical area with links to universities and research.
The main focus of the activities in contaminated areas is project and field work as well as ongoing contact with clients and regulatory authorities. Examples of tasks and responsibilities included in the role of environmental consultant in contaminated areas are to:
As a large part of the work tasks takes place in the form of outdoor field work, we see that you like to be outdoors and combine practical work with theoretical.
Requirement specification
To succeed well and thrive in your role as an environmental consultant, we are looking for you who have:
No previous work experience is required for this position. However, it is advantageous if you have experience in e.g. the industrial or infrastructure sector, or supervisory issues against contaminated areas from the municipal sector. If you have previous experience of soil, ground and surface water sampling or SGF certification courses, this is also meritorious.
