About the role

We are specialists in industrial automation and are now looking for more employees for our newly started section and investment in Gothenburg. At AFRY Advanced Automation, we work with exciting and technology-intensive assignments where we deliver customized automation services to clients in both the private and public sectors.

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in the implementation of projects from the idea stage to commissioning. You will work on designing and implementing automation solutions according to customer needs and requirement specifications, where your expertise plays a major role.

The assignments can be anything from minor programming changes or upgrades of existing DCS/PLC/SCADA systems to new construction and construction of new systems and factories. Delivery is through expert services as well as complete functional or turnkey engagements. The work will be carried out partly at local clients but also at our offices in in-house projects.

Our segment, Automation West at AFRY, is today four sections with about 60 colleagues and many partners located in Varberg and Gothenburg who work together in a broad competence group mainly in automation in industrial projects. We like to learn from each other and do fun things together, including an "All Inclusive" overnight stay at Falkenberg Strandhotell in September to spend time together and celebrate our successes. Requirement specification

To be relevant for the position, we see that you meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience in design projects of new process plants.
  • Many years of experience as an automation engineer and good knowledge of working in Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7 is highly meritorious. Experience of other DCS/PLC/SCADA is also relevant and interesting for the position.
  • Have a B-driving license as traveling in periods is a natural part of your role.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

If you have experience of the following, it is also meritorious:

  • Experience of automation simulation.
  • Experience of system upgrades.
