About the role
Our building designers in Industrial Civil have broad and solid expertise and work with assignments in, among others, the paper and pulp industry, chemicals, mining and smelting and other process-oriented industries. The assignments are at all stages, from feasibility studies to construction document design. AFRY strives to deliver complete solutions. As a building designer at AFRY, you will work in assignments with great variety. The tasks include:
- Being responsible for design and/or calculation in projects.
- As an assignment leader, you will be responsible for planning and following up on assignments both in terms of time and finances to ensure that the projects achieve the expected results.
- Coordinate and collaborate with clients and other designers, both internally and externally.
- Be an advisory designer in early stages for clients.
- As a consultant, be market-oriented and have ongoing contact with customers.
The location is at our office in Skellefteå. We are a growing section where you will be a new important piece of the puzzle in our team building!
Requirement specification
We are looking for you with solid experience as a building constructor. You need to be structured and well versed in current building legislation such as Eurocodes, BBR and others, as well as having experience in construction design and calculations. You have expertise in one or more of the technical areas of concrete construction, steel construction, foundations or timber construction and a solid interest in wanting to continue to develop in your role as a designer. Experience from industry is meritorious.
We are looking for you who are attracted by the challenge of being part of a growing business while working in exciting assignments. In addition to this, we prefer that you are a trained university or civil engineer.

- You have a good command of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
