About the role

At AFRY, we are looking for a driven and curious Design Engineer/Component Owner who wants to take the next step in their career and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in exterior and/or interior systems.

As a Design Engineer/Component Owner at AFRY, you will have a broad area of responsibility, working with the rest of the team to design and operate your components and systems throughout the development process. You will have the chance to work with leading companies in the automotive industry, both locally and globally, and contribute to creating sustainable and functional solutions for the vehicles of the future.

What does the role involve?

• Design and development of products with a focus on function, sustainability and aesthetic design.
• Work on exterior and/or interior systems, with a focus on injection molded plastic components.
• Collaborate closely with different departments, teams and suppliers to drive projects forward.

Requirements

We are looking for you who:

• Have an academic degree in product development, mechanical engineering or a similar field, preferably at BSc or MSc level.
• Have at least three years of experience in product development in the automotive industry, with a particular focus on exterior and/or interior systems.
• Are used to working in Catia V5, with both surfaces and solid modeling.
• Have experience in developing and optimizing the design of exterior and interior systems.
• Have worked with plastic construction, and have good knowledge of material choices and their properties.
• Advantageous: If you have experience working in Teamcenter and/or PDM-Link.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
• Have a B driving license.
