Job description

At AFRY, we believe in the power of diversity and collaboration. We share ideas and knowledge, challenge and support each other to develop further. We understand the importance of flexibility and a good work-life balance.

If you have experience with electricity in industrial production processes and are ready for your next career step. Learn more about us and the role of Electrical Engineer - Industrial Projects.

We are a dedicated team helping our customers adapt to a sustainable future and new demands. Our projects range from greenfield to brownfield. We work closely together, cross-functionally as well as in our own projects and consulting assignments. You work primarily with colleagues who are project managers, process engineers and of course electrical and automation engineers. Our customers appreciate our expertise and entrust us with interesting assignments.

ROLE WITH US

With us, you can either focus on leading the work or performing it, depending on experience and interest. The projects we work on in our team can, for example, be about building a new or changed process (eg in the dairy, bakery or beverage industry), but it can also be about feasibility studies and smaller efforts.

As an electrical engineer with us, you will:

  • Participate in early phases where the process and location are defined (feasibility studies and design). You have a close dialog with both the process engineer and the automation engineer and actively participate in the design of the electrical system. If you are a contractor and want to design yourself, e-plan is our first choice.
  • Participate in the development of our methods
  • Interpret and write technical specifications for the procurement of installation and cabinet construction.
If you have commercial experience, you will also write the commercial parts (RFQ).
  • Participate in the evaluation of tenders
  • Lead and supervise tests such as FAT, installation and check installation (SAT) prior to energization and commissioning.
  • At the end of the projects, be responsible for the proper completion of the work and handover.

We have a well-defined quality system and project methodology, which allows us to offer our customers a complete application solution, including testing, commissioning, quality assurance and documentation. We work according to standards and guidelines such as; ISA S88, ISA S95 and GAMP.

The role is based at AFRY's office in Malmö and many of our projects take place in southern Sweden. Travel within and sometimes outside Sweden is also possible.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe that you:

  • Have a few years of experience of electricity in industrial contexts, or alternatively you have worked as an electrician or instrument technician and been a designer for a few years.
  • Have a few years of experience working with industrial processes and it is a plus if you have experience from the food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • If you have the skills and experience to lead others in the work, it is a plus, but we are also looking for colleagues who thrive best on performing.
  • It is a plus if you have knowledge and experience of eplan or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of machinery directives, Atex and risk management is a merit.
  • Have very good knowledge of English and one of the Scandinavian languages, both spoken and written.
  • Have a B-driver's license, as shorter and longer trips may be part of the work.

To thrive in the role, you need to be driven, self-motivated and have an easy time communicating with others. In our projects we work together, but we rely on your ability to take responsibility for your part of the project deliveryAs we work from early stages to approved installation, our projects live long with varying intensity. We believe that you work in a structured way and enjoy working with several parallel projects and tasks. You are analytical and have the ability to take the big picture into account without losing focus on the delivery. You welcome change and adapt easily to new environments.

Last but not least, you value team work highly, just like us!
