Our section, Electric Power at AFRY, is today a group of about 20 colleagues located in Gothenburg and Trollhättan and working in a specialist group in electric power. We like to learn from each other and do fun things together. With us, you are part of a team that works from the idea stage to completed project and finished plant in industry. With our broad and deep expertise, we have the opportunity to help both our customers and each other succeed and develop.
We run advanced electrical power projects for our external customers ranging from heavy petrochemical operations to vehicle development/manufacturing to complex hospital facilities. We also support the various divisions within AFRY with our specialist electrical power expertise. This means that we are present throughout AFRY's customer base, which is incredibly exciting. About the role
In the role of Electrical Power Engineer with us at AFRY, you will have an important role in our organization and our electrical power projects. With us, you will have the opportunity to work as a consultant with many of our exciting clients in the region, as well as be part of projects run in-house. Our section offers you exciting and challenging tasks in a nice team that is happy to welcome more electrical power colleagues. You will work on different types of projects and assignments, which will be governed by your skills, the customer's needs and your personal ambition and development plan. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to work with:
- Preparation of inquiry documents for low and medium voltage substations.
- Investigations and feasibility studies.
- Technical advice.
- Net calculations and selective plans.
You will also have the opportunity to act as an assignment manager, which means your own customer and budget responsibility in projects. There are also good opportunities to work in other electric power-related areas such as relay testing, measurement and analysis of power quality and inspection.
Requirements specification
As you will be responsible for and develop the technical solutions of the future, we believe that you are a committed, curious and technically interested person who drives things from idea to goal - you do not give up as soon as it takes. We imagine that you value collaborating with others and creating engagement, building relationships and being responsible in what you do. At the same time, we believe that you think it is important to be organized and you have a good structure in your work. In addition to this, you are interested in developing yourself and being involved in developing your colleagues and customers - you think it's fun to build contacts both externally and internally. We hope that you recognize yourself in some of the expectations below:
- Post-secondary education in electrical power or have acquired equivalent knowledge from practical work experience.
- Several years of work experience in electrical power, preferably with previous experience as a designer or project manager.
- Experience in construction law and AMA, AutoCAD and used to working with report writing.
- Have a B driving license.
- Be fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing as this is required in dialogue with both customers and colleagues.
If you have also worked in Febdok or other network calculation programs or have practical experience as a service / industrial electrician, it is a bonus for us, but not a requirement. We attach great importance to your personal qualities and your curiosity, responsibility and commitment.
