About the role
You will belong to the section in Stockholm that runs advanced electrical power projects for both our internal projects, as well as external clients and also supports other divisions within AFRY with our specialist expertise in electrical power. We are present throughout AFRY's client base and work with exciting and technology-intensive assignments where we deliver tailor-made solutions to meet the needs of clients all over Sweden.
In the role of Electrical Power Engineer with us at AFRY, you will have an important role in our organization and our electrical power projects. With us, you will have the opportunity to work as a consultant with many of our exciting clients in the region, as well as be part of projects run in-house. You will work with different types of projects and assignments, which will be governed by your skills, the customer's needs and your personal ambition and development plan. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to work with:
- Development of inquiry documents for low, medium and high voltage substations as well as UPSs and backup power.
- Detailed design of high and medium voltage in industrial and energy facilities
- Investigations and feasibility studies.
- Technical consulting.
- Grid calculations and selective plans.
You will also have the opportunity to act as an assignment manager, which means your own customer and budget responsibility in projects. There are also good opportunities to work in other electric power related areas such as relay testing, measurement and analysis of power quality and inspection.
Requirement specification
Since you will be responsible for and develop the technical solutions of the future, we believe that you are a committed, curious and technically interested person who drives things from idea to goal. We imagine that you value collaborating with others and creating commitment, building relationships and being responsible in what you do. At the same time, we believe that you think it is important to be organized and you have a good structure in your work. In addition to this, you are interested in developing yourself and being involved in developing your colleagues and customers - you think it's fun to build contacts both externally and internally. We hope that you also recognize yourself in the following:
- Post-secondary education in electrical power or electricity or have acquired equivalent knowledge from practical work experience.
- Several years of work experience in electrical power, preferably with previous experience as a designer or project manager.
- Experience of construction law and AMA, AutoCAD and experience of working with report writing.
- Have a B driving license.
- Be fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing as this is required in dialog with both customers and colleagues.
If you have also worked in Febdok or other network calculation programs or have practical experience as a service/industrial electrician, it is a bonus for us, but not a requirement.
