About the role
We are looking for senior environmental and sustainability consultants to join our team in Gothenburg, Halmstad and Malmö.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of sustainability experts with a holistic understanding of sustainability; regulations, frameworks and tools needed for companies and public organizations in the transition to a sustainable society. We work very closely with our clients to create sustainable solutions within AFRY's three main sectors: infrastructure, industry and energy.
Our clients are both in the private industry and business sector as well as the municipal and government sector with a focus on infrastructure projects. The tasks as a consultant focusing on sustainability services can include conducting sustainability coordination, climate coordination, ecosystem service analyses, sustainability assessments and investigations linked to both licensable activities and planning, climate analyses and biodiversity advice and investigation.
As a sustainability consultant, you will be given responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to exciting and important projects at both strategic and operational levels. You will have the opportunity to participate in various assignments both locally, regionally and nationally. If you have a particular specialist competence, there is the opportunity to participate in the further development of our service offering.
Requirements
To succeed well and thrive in your role as a consultant, we are looking for you who have:
- An academic science or engineering degree in the field of environment or management with a focus on sustainability and relevance to the position, or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of work experience, including experience in sustainability assessment, sustainable urban development, Agenda 2030, coordination
- Passion for sustainability, science-based methods and sustainability improvements
- An analytical and strategic mindset with a good ability to see opportunities and solutions that add value to our clients.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English.
- Experience in working with clients and other stakeholders to discuss and present assignments and recommendations.
- Project management skills with good structure and organization as well as experience in sales and tender work.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
- B driving license
