AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordics. Together, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable society.

About the role

Are you motivated by environmental issues and want to create a sustainable future together with us? Are you passionate about community development and the environment? AFRY can offer you career opportunities in a modern workplace with challenging tasks and exciting projects.

In the Environment & Sustainability business area, AFRY offers qualified consulting services in the environmental field. In Malmö/Karlskrona, AFRY currently has two sections that work with notification and permit cases, water and air investigations, environmental impact assessments, environmental and nature investigations, waste issues, environmental soil surveys, environmental controls, risk assessments and sustainability. Our clients are in the private, municipal and government sectors. We also offer our environmental expertise to other business areas within AFRY.

With us, you are involved in developing innovative and sustainable solutions in infrastructure, energy and industry. Within AFRY, there is the opportunity to participate and pursue technical issues nationally, where natural environment has its own technical area with links to universities and research.

As an experienced environmental consultant, your assignments will vary and deal with everything from wind power, solar power, industries and various water activities, landfills, mines and quarries to infrastructure projects in rail and road and environmental assessments in planning cases. You will have the opportunity to participate in various assignments at local, regional and national level. We allow you to take on a great deal of responsibility and you are welcome to take on the role of project manager, have customer contacts and, if interested, also work on international assignments. If you have a particular specialist competence, there is the opportunity to participate in the development of our range of services.

Right now, the demand for services for biologists is also great and we are therefore also looking for you who want to complement and expand our offer of biologists in the southwest region.

As a biologist with us, you work with inventories in the field, desk studies, assessments, screening in early stages, report writing for delivery of results to the customer. In addition, you are a support to your colleagues in nature / species issues. You will work on a variety of assignments for clients in areas such as urban planning, infrastructure, solar and wind power. The work involves some travel, especially during the field season. The fieldwork is carried out together with colleagues and you will also have the opportunity to lead your own assignments and be involved in developing AFRY's services in the natural environment and contribute to a more sustainable society.

AFRY has a large group of environmental consultants who collaborate throughout the country and ensure quality assurance of the assignments as well as exchange important knowledge, experience, support each other and monitor the development of the industry together. If you have a particular specialist competence, there is the opportunity to participate in the development of our range of services.
