AFRY is now looking for an experienced environmental consultant with a focus on limnology and water activities. In the Environment & Sustainability business area, AFRY offers qualified consulting services in the environmental field. Our clients are found in the private, municipal and government sectors. We also offer our environmental expertise to other business areas within AFRY.

As part of our team, you will develop innovative and sustainable solutions in infrastructure, energy and industry. You will have the opportunity to participate in technology networks and drive technology and development issues nationally. We are now strengthening our environmental team with more consultants in water!

Work tasks

For the position of environmental consultant with a focus on limnology / water activities, we are looking for you who are a biologist or equivalent and who want to work with water-related issues in various service areas and assignments. Your assignments will be based on your experience, skills and interest. Examples of assignments can be:

  • Chemical and biological investigations of aquatic environments
  • Investigation regarding the impact on environmental quality standards for aquatic environments and status assessments
  • Expert support in environmental assessment and advice in permit management
  • Assignment management of notifications and permit applications according to Chapter 11 MB

Location: Karlstad, Stockholm, Västerås, Örebro, Linköping or Norrköping.


Requirements

To succeed and thrive in your role as an environmental and sustainability consultant, we are looking for you who have:

  • University or college education in biology, ecology, environment or equivalent with a focus on limnology
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the relevant field
  • Very good collaboration skills and interest in learning from others and contributing with your experience
  • An analytical and strategic mindset with good ability to see opportunities and solutions that add value to our customers
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing

B-driving license

Experience with:

  • Work as a consultant or at an authority
  • Environmental assessments concerning aquatic environments
  • Environmental quality standards for water
  • Chemical and biological investigations in the aquatic environment
  • Notification and permit cases according to Chapter 11 MB
  • Work as a project manager or project manager
  • Restoration of wetlands and watercourses
