Job description
In the Project Management section, more than fifty dedicated employees work with assignment and project management in AFRY's largest assignments in infrastructure and construction. The section also staffs assignments with support functions in Requirements, Quality, Risk and Work Environment Coordination. Production planning, AMA editors and Project controllers. Together, we ensure progress in the assignments from start to finish with careful and structured follow-up of finances, schedules and quality. The section is divided into five groups and the Project and Design Management group consists of thirteen driven team players, all of whom work in assignment management in one of AFRY's assignments. The employees in the group have experience ranging from project engineers with a few years of experience to senior project managers with over twenty years of experience in running multidisciplinary assignments in infrastructure and construction.
In the role of group manager, you work half-time as a project manager in one of AFRY's assignments, the rest of the time is spent working with the group. In addition to personnel responsibility for the employees in the group, the main tasks as group manager are to ensure the further development of both the employees and the business and to lead and coach consultants in assignments. Together with the other group managers, recruitment of new employees to the section and coordination of resources and tenders are conducted. The section's five group managers jointly form the section's management team, which works together with the section manager to constantly develop the section's market offering and refine the section's working methods.
The position is a permanent full-time position starting as soon as possible. As a group manager with us, you sit at least three days a week at the Solna office.
Qualifications
You are a social and outgoing person with a positive attitude. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to get your message across. You care about everyone's well-being and being seen. You have a coaching leadership style and are driven to see employees succeed by achieving their goals. We believe that you are a university graduate or civil engineer with many years of experience as a project manager in our field of activity. Previous experience in a management position is meritorious.
You are a creative team player and you want to be involved in developing both people, our strategy and business to drive our business and industry forward.
We are an international company and value good knowledge of both Swedish and English both orally and in writing to meet our customers' needs.
