Our network in Mining Technology consists of about 200 employees stationed in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Canada. In Sweden, we have offices from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. We are about 100 dedicated employees with specialized knowledge in engineering geology, rock mechanics, blasting technology and bedrock geology. Our groups are involved in assignments ranging from mapping for roads and railways, modeling of mineral deposits, feasibility studies and rock inspections for hydropower, field work and detailed design of new infrastructure and technical support during the construction phase of new housing projects.
We are looking for a driven person who wants to grow in their leadership and play a central role in our growth journey. As Group Manager, you will work closely with employees and with tender work, resource allocation and personnel issues.
You will report to the Section Manager of the Rock Engineering section and will be part of the Rock Engineering management team that works together to create a good working environment, win projects and to further develop our business in accordance with our strategy. The position also includes working on projects.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we are looking for an ambitious and driven person with a strong desire to develop and actively contribute to the success of the team. You have a genuine interest in people and enjoy supporting and developing others, while having a natural ability to build relationships. The role requires good communication and collaboration skills, where you can interact with both team members and customers.
We would like you to be able to take a leadership role and inspire others, although you do not necessarily have extensive experience in building teams. We believe that you have worked in rock engineering for five to ten years and have experience in inspection, design or following production with rock work. Furthermore, you have a university or college degree with a focus on rock geology or rock engineering and can communicate fluently in both Swedish and English. Meritorious is work with tunnels, CAD knowledge and that you have previously worked with technical descriptions and AB / ABT. B-driving license is a requirement.
