About the role
We see a constant need for efficient and smart accessibility in cities with smooth commuter traffic along road and rail, high-speed rail linking regions, stable spaces for industrial facilities. A growing society requires construction in rock. As one of the country's leading consulting companies in rock engineering, AFRY contributes to knowledge and development in visualization, method selection and accessibility in several of the country's largest infrastructure projects.
In Sweden, we are over 70 people in total in rock engineering and we have a fruitful national collaboration to strengthen our working methods. Examples of services we offer are rock engineering, geology, inspection and sulfide investigations. In addition to these and several other areas, fieldwork is a major part of the overall business.

As a Section Manager, you will be an important part of this culture and help us continue to grow and develop.
As a Section Manager with us, you will have a role with great variety, the opportunity for many contacts and customer meetings with responsibility for achieving successful and sustainable business. The role involves responsibility for the business, including strategies, profitability, marketing, quality, staff and skills development. A strong focus is on the business by strengthening and developing our presence and profitability. You report to the Regional Manager of Region North and are part of the region's management team based in Luleå.
We are currently 11 highly competent employees with the ambition to be perceived as the leading company in the market, so there are great opportunities to help develop and build the business in the Region.
Requirements specification
We are looking for a courageous and dedicated team player who enjoys sharing knowledge. You are passionate about seeing people grow and achieving good solutions together. Through your experience, you know how to lead a team without pointing fingers. You have a strong focus on the business and know how to create growth and profitability over time. You should have a degree in rock mechanics/rock engineering/geology and experience in project management in the field. You are a natural leader with strong communication and collaboration skills. An extra plus if you have experience working as a consultant, have a good market knowledge and an established network in the industry.
