About the role
AFRY is one of the leading players in civil engineering in the Nordic region and thanks to our unique breadth, we are proud to deliver the infrastructure solutions of the future together with our colleagues from other technology areas.
We are now looking for a committed leader for our section within Road, Street, Land, Water and Landscape in Örebro/Västerås. As a section manager with us, you get a role with great variety, the opportunity for many contacts and customer meetings and responsibility for achieving successful and sustainable business. Your responsibilities will include strategy, profitability, marketing, quality, personnel and competence development for the entire section's market area. You will report to the Regional Manager in Mitt and be a member of the regional management team. We see a section with great growth potential, and you will use your experience and network to build on and develop the section.
The section currently consists of 23 employees, and we focus on growth and profitability, with high demand for our services. A wide variety of assignments and customers provide opportunities for personal and professional development.
Requirements
For this role, we expect you to have at least five years of experience in the construction industry, have a passion for business and possess good knowledge of the infrastructure market. Previous work experience as a consultant or contractor would be an advantage. Fundamental to the role is a degree in civil engineering and a strong interest in the civil engineering sector.
To thrive in the role, you should have a good ability to build and maintain relationships. You have demonstrated good leadership by inspiring and motivating others. A business mindset is essential for success in this position.
As we are an international company, a good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
