About the role

To meet the increasing demand for our services, we are looking for you who want to work as a consultant in varying sectors of society and industries through infrastructure, community planning and/or industrial projects.

As a consultant in HSE and/or BAS-P/U with us, you create a safe working environment for our clients and you contribute to a safer society through your work to reduce risks in workplaces and in society. Furthermore, you will contribute your technical expertise to our customers to help them identify their needs and manage potential risks. Our service areas consist of:

  • BAS-P/U
  • Different types of HSE/OHS coordination and support
  • Risk management and risk analysis (technical, organizational and social)
  • Chemical occupational health and safety risks
  • Ongoing occupational health and safety support to maintain legal requirements as well as management systems for risk & occupational health and safety, safety culture, etc.

Our customers are in several industries, but mainly in industry and construction companies and many times with a focus on the construction phase. You will work with a mix of short and long assignments. Depending on previous experience and interest, you may end up in projects in different sectors of society. Furthermore, you will have several contacts both internally and externally.

In Safety at AFRY, we are currently about 80 competent, driven and committed employees in 25 locations in Sweden. In your role as a risk and / or work environment consultant with us, there may be travel around Sweden and outside Sweden as our area of activity is international. Right now we are looking for several new employees in this area in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Malmö, Karlstad, Borlänge, Örnsköldsvik and Östersund. Other office locations may also be of interest.


Requirements

We are looking for you who have previous experience of working in the above-mentioned service areas, especially in industry, and we would very much like you to have experience from BAS-P and/or BAS-U to be involved in the development of our business. We would like to see that you have an academic degree as a civil engineer or acquired your knowledge according to the equivalent.

In the role as a consultant, you need to build personal networks both at the client companies and internally at AFRY. If you have a built-up network, we see it as a great advantage. Furthermore, you are good at maintaining and managing your existing relationships and you are triggered by finding new business opportunities. You also need the ability to manage a budget and deliver with short deadlines, as well as plan and organize your work yourself. If you also like to be an assignment leader and guide your colleagues, we see that as a plus. If, on the other hand, you find it more fun to specialize and have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area, this is another quality that is also seen positively.

To work with work environment and risk, high demands are placed on the ability to communicate. Therefore, you will be required to master the Swedish language fluently and be well versed in English. A big plus is if you enjoy training and lecturing. There is a great need for training in BAS-P/U, HSE and systematic work environment management, mainly in construction projects.
