Job description

AFRY's stated focus on the Process Industry gives us opportunities to recruit further as we have many interesting projects and assignments ahead of us. In the Process Industry Sweden business area, we have all the disciplines and technical expertise required to run EPCM projects in the process industry. This gives us a broad competence to market to our customers and opportunities to take on larger in-house projects.

Project Management Office (PMO) is today a team of 60+ lovely colleagues located all over the country. We drive and support our organization with project management, planning, document control, financial monitoring, procurement, technical management and health, safety and environment (HSE) coordination. PMO staff also provide technical services outside of large projects where our expertise is needed.

To implement our strategy for the future, we are now looking to further develop the PMO by recruiting Health & Safety Project Specialist. We are recruiting for a position based in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Some travel is to be expected and is based on customer needs and project location.

You will be part of the management of our larger projects as responsible for health and safety and report to the main project manager. You will also support smaller projects where it is in line with the overall strategy of the PMO. In line you will report to the Head of HSE management within the PMO.

As Health & Safety Project Specialist you will lead and coordinate the H&S discipline in a variety of multi-disciplinary projects within the process industry. You will have the opportunity to support projects in their development phase as a H&S specialist. This ranges from creating health and safety plans based on AFRY standards and legislation, conducting risk assessments, delivering training, conducting internal audits to coordinating H&S activities for contractors on a site.

Qualifications

  • You have several years of experience in working with Health and Safety, preferably within larger industrial projects.
  • You have a broad H&S experience, some experience in process safety, technical safety, machine safety and/or construction safety is highly desirable.
  • Have a high safety focus and can act as an ambassador to implement a strong safety culture in our organization and within our projects.
  • You are a driven person who takes own initiatives and can work independently but also likes to collaborate with colleagues and different stakeholders.
  • You are structured and orderly.
  • You are coaching in your leadership style and have good people skills.
  • You have experience working with programs in Office 365.

It is important that you are interested in building contacts both internally and externally and that you are responsive and communicative to be able to nurture those contacts in the best way. Sharing your knowledge with customers and colleagues is a matter of course. With us, you will be involved in a varied job with frequent customer contacts. We assume that you have a driving license B as travel is a natural part of your role and that you master both Swedish and English well in both speech and writing.
