Company description
AFRY offers services in engineering, design, digitalization and consulting. We are dedicated experts in industry, energy and infrastructure, creating value for future generations. AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordics. Together, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable society.
About the role
AFRY is one of the leading players in the water sector. We are in an expansive phase and as we constantly get the opportunity to work on new exciting projects, we now need to expand our business with more employees. We are therefore looking for committed and driven employees for one of our locations in the northern region. Are you one of the people we are looking for?
We at Samhällsbyggnad Vatten Norr work with groundwater, both in soil and in rock, in many different types of assignments, mainly in water supply, drinking water safety, infrastructure and activities linked to the green transition. With our expertise, we help customers all over the country and in all industries, municipalities and municipal companies, authorities, companies and industries.
Do you like working with issues in hydrogeology? Then we and our customers need you!
The position involves working with hydrogeological investigations at various stages. We would like you to take on analytical calculations, GIS work and groundwater modeling. If you have some years of experience, tasks such as quality assurance and review, developing and maintaining customer relations, and participating in the section's technical and business development will be relevant. The specific tasks will depend on your experience and the areas in which you want to develop further.
Each assignment is unique and therefore requires a unique team setup that is adapted to the assignment. We work closely together in the section so regardless of assignment or office, you will have colleagues to solve problems with. You will work on assignments throughout the country and travel may occur, but you will start from one of our offices in Luleå, Piteå, Boden or Östersund. The possibility of teleworking is available.
Requirements specification
As a person, you are curious and interested in your technical field and have energy and drive. We attach great importance to your personal qualities and value commitment and the ability to cooperate with others as the work involves many personal contacts and is usually conducted in a project group together with the client. The work involves presentations in both report form and oral presentations, which is why good ability to express yourself in speech and writing is a prerequisite. Good knowledge of Swedish is a requirement as our clients expect reports written in Swedish.
We are looking for you who are a natural scientist or have a civil engineering or university degree in a relevant field and preferably have a few years of work experience in the consulting / contracting industry, at a government agency or as a client with a main focus on issues in geology / hydrogeology.
At AFRY we live by our values: "Brave - Devoted - Team player" which also says a lot about the person we are looking for!
