Company Description

AFRY is a leading European company with global reach in engineering, design and consulting. We accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society.

We are 19,000 dedicated experts in infrastructure, industry, energy and digitalization, creating sustainable solutions for future generations.

About the role

We are looking for a committed and experienced ILS Manager (Integrated Logistics Support Manager) who wants to take responsibility for large and complex projects in the defense industry or towards defense authorities. Are you a person who thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment, and wants to contribute to high quality solutions for our customers? Then this could be the right opportunity for you.

In our Defence & Security business area, we work in teams where we manage and develop our ILS expertise in the areas of land, sea and air defense. We are located in several offices in Sweden and would like you to be a local representative for the area and take leadership in customer projects. You will have a central role in our team, where your leadership is important to both drive projects and support your colleagues within ILS.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work together with a team of engineers and colleagues with both civil and military backgrounds, which means that we have a breadth of experience and perspectives. We value an open and inclusive way of working, where we together strive towards common goals with high quality and precision.

Requirement specification

To be suitable for the role, we see that you have a technical academic education at college or university level, preferably with a focus on logistics or maintenance, or relevant technical education.

We also see that you have a good understanding of the ILS elements and that you thrive on working in complex system environments. You have experience in Systems Engineering and project management methodology, and it is meritorious if you also have certifications in these areas.

You have a solid background in ILS Management. In addition, experience with international standards such as ISO 15288/15289, ASD3000L, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-1388-1A/2B is a plus.

We are looking for a person with a genuine interest in the combination of technology and leadership. You have the ability to both lead and inspire a temporary team towards common goals. As a person, you are business-minded, results-oriented and have the ability to enthusiastically motivate your colleagues.

You need to master both Swedish and English, as these languages are used in our customer assignments.

Meriterative is if you have previous experience:

  • from the defense vehicle / naval / aircraft industry.
  • In a previous role as a technical officer.
  • of working as a consultant

As the position may involve work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to complete and pass a security check with register check. Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

Further information

Within our Defence & Security business unit, we have several different knowledge groups, including within ILS where we have regular meetings for skills development, learn about other projects/assignments at AFRY or just hang out and have fun.

In order to be able to work in holistic commitments to customers, we have a consistent strategy to work focused on skills development for our consultants. This is done through competence projects, seminars and training in various areas. Everything is tailored to you as a consultant.

As our customers mainly operate in a defense context, it is a natural part of our everyday life that we work based on the ISO / IEC 15288 standard.

Some of what we can offer you:

  • A secure employment with a fixed salary and collective agreement - components that are a matter of course for us!
