Job description

We have a lot going on with us and to meet the increasing demand for our services, we are now looking for you who want to work as a Junior Designer in building construction. We work with assignments in, among other things, industry, housing, infrastructure, commercial and public buildings. Our assignments are at all stages, from feasibility studies to construction document design and investigations. 

As a Construction Designer with us, you work independently and in groups to design existing systems and make technical descriptions with associated detailed solutions with the support and support of the supervising designer and assignment manager. The position also involves designing in Revit and Tekla and performing calculations with computer support. In addition, you are expected to actively participate in design meetings with the customer and the consulting group.

Qualifications

We believe that you are a person who takes responsibility towards customers and follows schedules and budgets. In the role, your technical knowledge is important and we also want you to have a few years of experience in the design of load-bearing structures in concrete, steel and wood.    

Personality is important, as you sometimes work in parallel assignments, you need to be able to create structure in your everyday life and to be able to manage your assignments and projects in the best way for both yourself and your customers.Flexibility is a keyword for you in your work, both towards clients and colleagues. As a person, it is also important that you can inspire confidence in our clients; that you are communicative and a person who enjoys being AFRY's representative with clients. You have a natural openness and curiosity for new assignments. These qualities also lead to new assignments by listening to your clients' needs and not being afraid to "raise your hand" when they need help.  
Since you have a lot of contact with different customers as a consultant, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and partly English, both in speech and writing. A B-driving license is a requirement as the service includes daily travel.
