About the role

Come and work with us as a management consultant in the energy sector!

Today we are about thirty management consultants working at AFRY Management Consulting towards the energy market. In other words, we are a relatively small team at a large company. As our part is new since 2020, we are all involved in building our business, which characterizes our culture. We would describe ourselves as a friendly and ambitious bunch within which it is important to have a permissive culture, an unpretentious way of working and a good work-life balance. We also have a leadership that promotes a collaborative and innovative work environment and that clearly and actively supports your development with regard to areas of interest and your personal career goals. Geographically, we are located in both Stockholm and Gothenburg, but we work a lot together between offices in Sweden and with our consulting colleagues in other countries. With us, there are also good opportunities for partial remote work and flexible working hours. As a management consultant, you will work in customer projects with varying scope and responsibility, such as:

  • Techno-economic analysis, for example cost or operational analysis of different energy assets

  • Regulatory analysis, for example the impact of different regulations at national or European level

  • Market studies, for example analysis of players or conditions for a specific player in a market

  • Responsibility for work streams and tasks in close cooperation with your team, from problem formulation to conclusions and recommendations

We are actively looking for talents with a strong drive and interest in the energy transition and who want to work on strategy issues, transactions (DDs), market analysis, organizational change and digital transformation. You want to be at the forefront and get to work with the most skilled and get the chance to be involved where the big energy issues are shaped - whether it is about the power system of the future, green energy or new technical solutions.

Requirements

Who are you?

You are up to date and have a genuine interest in what is happening in the energy market and are driven to make a career as a management consultant. You have a few years of work experience as a management consultant and you also have experience in the energy sector, perhaps with specific knowledge of battery storage, hydrogen, off/onshore wind, solar, nuclear or industrial electrification. You have a master's degree in engineering, economics or similar, as well as very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

For us, it is important what personal qualities you have. Since you will largely work in teams with others internally, as well as externally towards customers, we value highly if you are relationship-building and communicative in your way. As many projects are challenging and come with a deadline, you will thrive if you also like problem solving and working goal-oriented.

We work mostly in the Office tools Excel, PowerPoint and Word. It is therefore an advantage if you already have good knowledge of them. Work experience in the energy sector or other relevant areas such as strategy, quantitative analysis, transactions or organizational and business development will also be considered.
