Describe your role and what you work with at AFRY in Trollhättan.
I work as a designer in an assignment for one of Sweden's truck groups and belong to a team that works with exterior articles. In this assignment, I work with plastic construction and sheet metal construction and our team is currently in the latter part of the project's development phase where we will release 3D documentation to order prototype materials. This phase is very exciting because we will soon be able to test our models and see if our technical solutions work in reality. After we have verified that the prototypes pass all tests, we will further develop the products for series production.
What is it like to work as a designer in Automotive?
As a designer, I have very fun and varied tasks. In my current assignment, I came in early in the project and am involved from early concept development to the development of production tools. This means that the role will vary a lot because in the concept phase it is very much about generating many different concepts to find the best solutions for the product and later in the project there will be more focus on making the product manufacturable.
What do you like about working at AFRY in Trollhättan?
AFRY in Trollhättan has a working environment that I enjoy very much. We have good cooperation between colleagues and a great community, which makes it easy to quickly get into the group. AFRY also comes up with many activities that allow us in the team to get to know each other in a good way.
Requirement specification
You have an academic degree (or equivalent) in machinery and/or product development. As a person, we want you to be curious, driven and have an interest in problem solving. You like varied tasks and challenges in different environments, as our assignments change over time. You are constantly working to develop, both professionally and as a person. You have good knowledge of Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written.
