Job description

AFRY is a successful technology and engineering company with a focus on development and a more sustainable future! We at AFRY Advanced Automation are now looking for a Section Manager with the ability to engage and inspire people to join our operations in Västerås.

Being a Section Manager with us means a role with great variety with many contact surfaces and a great customer focus. Our business is focused on delivering advanced technology solutions in electricity, automation and electric power to various industries and customers. Our group consists of about 20 dedicated employees and together we have all the skills required to implement and deliver complex and complete solutions to our customers. As a section manager, you will lead and coach these both experienced specialists and young talents. You are also responsible for the group's operations, sales and profitability, which means that you are responsible for customer relations and sales in your area and are the one who finds, sees and creates new opportunities for future business and collaborations.

You are responsible for the entire section's operations including strategy, profitability, business development, quality, personnel, recruitment and skills development. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the immediate manager Pär who is based in Stockholm, the team in Västerås and with strong support from the business area's management team.

Qualifications

The most important thing for us is that you are a person who has experience of and is driven by leading, developing and improving both operations and people. We imagine that you are a person who is communicative, curious and good at building good relationships. You are motivated by the success of others, like to do things in new ways and enjoy working closely with others. In combination with this, you have a strong interest in automation, technology and projects as these are important components of the position. You see development potential and have a great interest in creating good automation solutions in dialog with our customers. You are interested in developing yourself and helping to develop your colleagues and customers. We also see that you have the following with you:

  • A confident and engaging leadership style combined with experience of staff responsibility and as a manager.
  • Experience of working with budgets, customer dialogues and results.
  • Experience in similar activities and of running and working with automation, technology and industry.
  • Educationally, we see that you are a civil engineer or acquired equivalent experience from elsewhere.
  • B-driving license and very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
