About the role

Are you looking for new challenges and enjoy finding innovative solutions to tricky problems? We are now looking for more mechanical engineers who want to be part of our growing business in Västerås.

As a consultant in our dynamic product development business area, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of future products and solutions at some of Sweden's most prominent and exciting companies.

As a mechanical engineer, there is a great variety in the nature of the assignments. In some assignments, you are involved in project development from start to finish. In other assignments, you strengthen the customer's competence in specific areas or work with product care. The assignments vary over time and we carry out assignments both on site at the customer and in our own premises.

You will be based at AFRY's office in Västerås and/or the client's premises. In the long term, there may be an opportunity to work remotely.

Requirement specification

The applicant has:

• An engineering degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in product development or mechanical design
• Good knowledge of any CAD tool, e.g. Siemens NX, Solid Works or Creativity. Siemens NX, Solid Works or Creo and used to working with PLM systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
• B-driving license
