About the role
Do you want to use your broad experience and expertise in machine design to shape the products of the future? At AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work as a consultant and lead the development of innovative solutions in mechanical engineering. We are now looking for a dedicated Mechanical Designer to join our team in Karlshamn.
As a Mechanical Designer at AFRY, you will play a central role in the development of cutting-edge products and solutions that meet our customers' most challenging needs. You will be involved in machine design projects from concept to finished product, while having the opportunity to develop with the support of senior colleagues and bring fresh perspectives to the team. We work with everything from idea and concept development to delivering finished installations to our customers. We perform design work in plastics, fine mechanics, special machines, heavy constructions and much more.
Requirement specification
For you to succeed in the role of mechanical engineer, we would like you to have a relevant university education in mechanical engineering, product development or similar, with an interest in sustainability and the environment. You have a few years of experience in mechanics and construction, where you have worked to develop solutions that take into account both functionality and environmental impact. We value your ability to drive projects forward with a focus on sustainable methods and materials, while being a good communicator.
You have good skills in managing and coordinating information in a structured way, which is important in the development of sustainable products. Experience of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo and/or Inventor is essential. You are fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English and thrive in digital environments.
