About the service
As a consultant in mechanical design, you investigate, dimension, calculate, model and document industrial plants, create inquiry documents, manufacturing documents and act as customer support. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest in 3D and VR in project groups together with experienced colleagues. Our clients are in various sectors of the process industry.
The work is carried out in both small and large projects that can be led by both the clients and by us at AFRY. In the assignments, you will have the opportunity to work together with other technical branches from AFRY such as pipe, construction, electrical, automation, process experts and more.
As a consultant with us, you are offered challenging and developing work where you get the opportunity to participate in varied assignments and work with the latest technology. You are part of a group of experienced engineers who are happy to share their knowledge and support when needed.
Placement will be at one of our offices in Arvika or Karlstad.
Requirement specification
In terms of experience, we believe that you recognize yourself in the description below:
- You probably have a college or university education in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- It is an advantage if you have worked as a mechanical designer, designer or project manager for a number of years and are familiar with the industry's current directives and standards. Preferably in the process industry.
- You preferably have your own network of contacts with customers and suppliers in the region
- You have a strong drive to develop together with your colleagues and value commitment and responsibility for your tasks.
- We see that you value a good business approach as our contact areas, both internally and externally, are based on cooperation and good relationships.
- You are communicative as well as a good listener and team player
- You are used to working in different CAD environments.
- You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
- You are flexible and can travel to our customers for shorter/longer periods.
As a person, we believe that you like to contribute with ideas and enjoy working in project form. You like to take responsibility for your work and can perform it independently, while at the same time you like to collaborate with different skills and people where everyone has the same goal and where you have to find the right way to reach the goal together! Although you will be a key player, you must be a team player!
