About the role


We need to strengthen our local team in Växjö with another creative employee. Our offer consists of varying assignments/projects. AFRY is a large and established employer with local roots and well-established contacts with actors in the field. We believe that you love technology and have a fundamental "how does it work" attitude. As you'll be working closely with colleagues and our customers, you'll also need to have a social streak. We are a bunch of skilled and dedicated colleagues who know most things in mechanical engineering. We want you to develop with us and ensure that you get the right skills development, both through varied assignments and digital and teacher-led training. We believe in a work-life balance and when we are at work we make sure to have fun and do a variety of social activities.

As a consultant with us, you will work with varied assignments in different industries. You will be part of the customer's development team but also work with customer assignments from our office.

We work with everything from idea and concept development to delivering finished installations to our customers. We carry out design work in plastics, fine mechanics, special machines, heavy constructions and much more.


Requirement specification


For you to succeed in the role of machine designer, we would like you to have a relevant university education in mechanical engineering or product development. You already have a few years of work experience in the field of mechanics and construction. You can independently drive projects forward and are a good communicator. We would like to see that you have an understanding of the importance of focusing on costs, revenues and are used to working with budgets. You have good skills in managing and coordinating information and a structured approach. You should have good knowledge of CAD: SolidWorks, Creo and/or Inventor. You are fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing and you move easily in digital environments.
